Diversidade sexual, identidade de gênero e o direito à saúde : uma análise sobre o acesso da população trans aos serviços de saúde pública. Orientador: Lucas Alexssandher Tavares Fonseca. 2024. 95f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) - Curso de Serviço Social, Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/60185The aim of this monograph is to understand the inflections within the dynamics of the Transsexualization Process in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), analyzing its limits and possibilities. This work intends to identify the specific obstacles and difficulties faced by the transsexual and travesti population in accessing SUS, both in terms of services and public health actions. The outlined assumption is that SUS faces delays in the transsexualization process due to bureaucratic obstacles, institutional transphobia, resource reduction, and political motivations. The methodological approach adopted in this study is primarily based on qualitative research through a bibliographic review, centered on the historical-dialectical materialist method. The justification for this research lies in the observations and issues raised from the mandatory curricular internship carried out in a general hospital in the city of Natal/RN, where it became evident that the trans population faces difficulties in accessing the transsexualization process through SUS. The bureaucratic hurdles of this process, combined with the high costs of surgeries in the private sector, end up forcing trans and travesti individuals to seek precarious alternatives, such as unsupervised hormonal self-medication, thereby reinforcing the subaltern condition of this segment of the LGBTQIAP+ population.Serviço SocialDiversidade sexualIdentidade de gêneroPopulação transSistem Único de Saúde (SUS)Processo transexualizadorSocial ServiceSexual diversityGender identityTrans populationBrazilian Unified Health System (SUS)Transsexualization processDiversidade sexual, identidade de gênero e o direito à saúde : uma análise sobre o acesso da população trans aos serviços de saúde públicaSexual diversity, gender identity and the right to health: an analysis of the trans population’s access to public health servicesbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::SERVICO SOCIAL
