The addition of polymers usually affects the rheological behavior of cement pastes and only if the rheological properties of the paste are well characterized. Thus, this work aims to study the influence of the addition of Polyurethane (PU), as an alternative additive, in cement paste systems to combat gas migration. Rheology and API filtrate tests were performed to evaluate the rheological and filtration parameters of cement pastes with the addition of PU, containing concentrations from 0 to 1.5% gpc, and filtrate controller ranging from 0 to 0.3 bwoc.
