Drawing on the philosophical influences of Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Sartre, the study examines how Camus develops an original response to the absurd, rejecting transcendental solutions and affirming rebellion as an ethical act. Through works such as The Stranger, The Myth of Sisyphus, and Caligula, the dissertation investigates how the absurd shapes Camus's views on freedom, authenticity, and solidarity.
