The objective was centered on the survey of the environmental legislation for the licensing of wind power plants at the federal and state levels. The work was built from a bibliographical review, of an exploratory nature, and it can be said that it is a descriptive study, since it has as its object of study sources already available in the main databases. During the study, the negative environmental impacts suffered by the environment in the face of wind farms were highlighted, as well as the licensing process.
