Orientador: Eduardo Caldas Costa. 2023. 28 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Educação Física Bacharelado) - Departamento de Educação Física, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/55450The objective of this study was to analyze movement behaviors in community-dwelling older adult people with frailty. Fifteen older adult people living in the community of Natal-RN (age, 66.5 ± 4.3 years; 86.7% women) with physical frailty were included in this study. Physical frailty was defined by the Fried phenotype, considering the presence of three of the following criteria: slow gait, low physical activity, unintentional weight loss in the last year, muscle weakness and self-reported exhaustion. Sedentary behavior and leisure-time physical activity were assessed using the LASA-SBQ and Minnesota questionnaires, respectively. Time spent in sedentary behavior, light physical activity (LPA), moderate-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), steps/day, and step cadence were measured by accelerometer during one week. By questionnaire, participants reported 7.4 h/day of sedentary behavior, with the most common activities being: watching TV (2.4 ± 1.7 h/day), administrative activities (1.3 ± 0.6 h/day ), telephone use (1.2 ± 1.1 h/day) and transportation (0.9 ± 1.0 h/day). Only 20% reported doing leisure-time physical activity (resistance exercises, n=2; walking, n=1). Accelerometry data showed: 10.9 h/day in sedentary time; 5.1 ± 1.3 h/day in LPA; 120 ± 75 min/wk in MVPA; 6328 ± 2000 steps/day; 69 ± 13 steps/min. On average, older adult people with physical frailty have a high sedentary time, especially watching TV, and do not reach the recommendations of 150 min/week of MVPA and 7000 steps/day. Still, they show low involvement in leisure physical activities. The movement behavior of older adult people with frailty should receive attention in clinical practice.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Exercício físico - idosoComportamento sedentárioFragilidadePessoas idosasCaracterização dos comportamentos de movimento em pessoas idosas com fragilidadeCharacterization of movement behaviors in older adult people with frailtybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::EDUCACAO FISICA
