In children, this symptom can cause serious damage, such as emotional, social and learning impairments. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the profile of scientific production on tinnitus complaints in children in national and international journals. METHOD: This is a bibliometric review on the prevalence of tinnitus complaints in children. A search for articles published between 2011 and June 2020 was carried out in the national and international databases: Pubmed, Lilacs, Medline, IBECS, ERIC and Scielo. The eligibility criteria for inclusion of studies were: a) studies published in national and international journals with full and free text; b) in English and Portuguese; c) to address the topic in the last 10 years. RESULTS: Found 37,906 studies, 37,891 were excluded for not meeting the inclusion criteria, and 15 studies were selected for final reading of the full text and bibliometric analysis. The country with the largest number of publications found was Brazil and the study approach was predominantly quantitative and the type of study most found was cross-sectional and prospective, with samples above 50 participants.
