O tempo de prática do Método Pilates não influencia na resposta eletromiográfica dos músculos do assoalho pélvico em mulheres climatéricas: um estudo observacional. 2019. 56f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia) - Departamento de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, RN, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/35880Introduction: The Pilates Method (PM) focuses on concentration, movement control, breathing, and centering. The Powerhouse requires strengthened muscles in the trunk, flexors and extensors of the hip and pelvic floor, for the efficient execution of movements. In climacteric, there is a progressive hormonal deficiency hypoestrogenism - which directly affects the muscles of the pelvic floor muscles (PFM) and causes them to weaken. Objectives: to analyze the relation of the time of practice of Pilates Method andelectromyographic response of the PFM in climacteric women. Methods: Observational study with twenty-eight climacteric women, were divided into two groups according to average time of practice of the Pilates Method, group 1 (below 48 months; n = 16) and group 2 (above 48 months, n = 12). The evaluation form containing the sociodemographic, obstetrical and gynecological data. It was used as instruments, the functional evaluation of the pelvic floor was performed by bidigital palpation. Electromyographic capture of PFM by surface electromyography (Miotool Uro 200, Miotec ©, Brazil). Results: The maximum voluntary contraction (CVM) of the MAPs did not show a statistically significant difference between the analyzed groups. The electromyographic data of Base Tone (TB) and endurance (Kegel) were statistically homogeneous. Conclusion: Pilates does not seem to influence PFM.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/climatérioclimactericbioretroalimentaçãobiofeedbackdiafragma da pelvepelvic floorO tempo de prática do Método Pilates não influencia na resposta eletromiográfica dos músculos do assoalho pélvico em mulheres climatéricas: um estudo observacionalbachelorThesis4.08.00.00-8 Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional
