Methods: Integrative literature review employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, analyzing scientific articles, health guidelines, and epidemiological reports. The research was conducted using databases such as Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Virtual Health Library (BVS), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), PubMed, and the Ministry of Health. Results: Twelve articles were included in this review. The synthesis of results allowed for the classification of findings into main categories, such as early diagnosis, nursing professional training, treatment adherence, and integration of healthcare services. These factors represent the primary challenges in managing gestational syphilis, highlighting areas for improvement in public health practices. Nursing professionals face several significant barriers, such as lack of specific training, resistance from pregnant women due to stigma, and limited resources in healthcare services. These factors hinder early diagnosis and adherence to proper treatment, compromising the prevention of congenital syphilis.
