In this case, the development of new additives and metal conditioners is fundamental in the context of the current industry scenario that is increasing competitiveness and avoiding waste. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to evaluate the performance of two different metal conditioners available in the national market through pin-on-disk tests performed on 1045 steel. For this purpose, four different test configurations were assessed considering dry contact, contact lubricated with a commercial automotive oil and contact lubricated with automotive oil added with two kinds of metal conditioners.
