Orientador: Thécio Henrique de Carvalho Costa. 2023. 8 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica) - Centro de Tecnologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/52387Among the existing techniques to reduce surface tension, those that use plasma as an energy source are the most promising due to their versatility and because they do not present harmful agents to the environment. which has shown more impressive results. Then, in view of the good acceptability of the use of plasma in polymeric materials, he investigated the phenomenon of wettability on surfaces manufactured in Sylgard® 184 elastomer and modified by plasma treatments at low pressure applied in a gaseous atmosphere of oxygen, argon and hydrogen, keeping the parameters time, gas flow and current constant, additionally, a gaseous atmosphere composed of a mixture of argon with acetylene and chloroform passing through the washer tube was also applied. After plasma treatment, the samples were characterized by contact angle and surface tension measurements, where the decrease in wettability of plasma-treated films was characterized, as well as the variables that contributed to this effect.Atribuição-SemDerivados 3.0 Brasilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Sylgard® 184Tratamento por plasmaTensão SuperficialMolhabilidadePlasma treatmentSurface tensionWettabilityModificação da tensão superficial do Sylgard®184 usando plasma a baixa temperaturaModification of the surface tension of Sylgard®184 using low-temperature plasmaarticle
