In Brazil, the regulatory frameworks on this subject, both at public and private administration level, remain decisive in making the flexibilization, decentralization and horizontalization of the production process official, especially in the context of the recent past. Supported by the rapid expansion of information and communication technologies, the world is undergoing a constant transformation from a holistic point of view, with an emphasis on the economy. In order to understand the effects of outsourcing, a case study approach was adopted. We analyzed the characteristics of a sample of outsourced workers at UFRN in the areas of cleaning, portering, reception and surveillance through structured interviews. The aim was to elucidate whether outsourcing contributes to precarious working conditions and the loss of workers' rights. In this sense, we observed elements that may corroborate the scenario of insecurity in which subcontracted workers live.
