The shortage of resources and qualified professionals has brought to light deficiencies in the structure of the public and private health systems. This paper studies, from the point of view of Law, the relationship and the impacts generated by the pandemic to consumers in the supplementary health sector through the analysis of figures that quantify the negative impacts on health care. The methodology employed in this work is bibliographical research, both doctrinaire and jurisprudential, in addition to the survey of data available for consultation in governmental organs and agencies. The work demonstrates that the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the supplementary health sector, generating a large number of complaints to the regulatory agency due to the denial of services. We conclude that it is important for people, companies, and the state that social life returns to the level it was at before the Covid-19 pandemic.
