This study aimed to characterize the profile of students at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte who use motorcycle ride-hailing, as well as to understand the factors influencing their choice. The research, qualitative and exploratory in nature, used a questionnaire applied between May 31 and June 9, 2025, followed by statistical analysis of the collected data. The results indicated that most users are between 18 and 24 years old, live near the university, and use the service infrequently, with the main motivators being that it is cheaper and faster than other options. Despite high concerns about accidents, the perceived benefits outweigh the risks, reflecting deficiencies in public transport infrastructure. The research also revealed partial dissatisfaction with the service and suggestions for improvement, such as driver training, more effective oversight, and greater recognition of the work of motorcycle riders. It is concluded that, despite safety concerns, motorcycle ride-hailing is consolidating as a viable alternative, and as an intervention, the strengthening of public policies focused on safety and sustainable mobility is proposed.pt-BRtransporte por aplicativomotomobilidade urbanaestudantes universitáriossegurança viária.bachelorThesisENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVIL
