Aplicação dos resíduos industriais do processamento de polpa de frutas na formulação de cosmético esfoliante. 2018. 46f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Química) - Departamento de Engenharia Química, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/38867Brazil is one of the largest fruit producers in the world, according to the Brazilian Fruit Institute - IBRAF, behind only China and India. In the northeast, the state of Bahia is among the four largest domestic producers. In relation to the disposal of this product, the domestic market is responsible for 97% of the consumption of these fruits and only 3% for export. In addition, the commercialization of these fruits occurs not only in its in natura state, but also in the form of juices, fruit pulps, jams, jellies, among others. However, it is known that the processing performed in obtaining such products generates a residue of up to 60% of the total fruit volume. This should be disposed of correctly according to the company's solid waste management program (PGRS). Studies show that these residues still carry the functional properties of their fruits of origin, indicating the importance of transforming these agroindustrial residues into new products such as food supplement flour, teas and even exfoliating soaps. The aim of this work was to study the application of industrial residues from processing fruit pulp of acerola and pineapple fruits as exfoliating particles into a natural exfoliating cosmetic formulation using vegetable oils of coconut, avocado and grape seed as emollients and essential oils of melaleuca and sweet orange as preservatives and flavorings. The experimental procedure was composed of the steps of: acquisition of residues in the pulp industries, physico-chemical characterization of the residues, drying of the waste in forced circulation air oven at 65 ° C for 180 minutes, dry residue grinding, chemical properties of these powders, exfoliating cosmetic formulation and stability analysis of the product in the 21 day period. The results obtained in the physical analyzes of the powders indicated that the powders presented a very low moisture content (3.5%), making it impossible to develop undesirable microorganisms, thus following one of the criteria for the stability of the final product. The stability analysis, performed in the 21 day period, did not show significant changes in the observed parameters: color, aroma, acidity and soluble solids. Thus, it was possible to conclude that the incorporation of residues of these fruits in an exfoliating cosmetic results in a stable product, and further studies are needed on their long-term stability and the exfoliating capacity of these particles on the surfaces.resíduo de acerolaresíduo de abacaxisecagem em estufacosmético naturalóleos vegetaisacerola residuepineapple residuedryingnatural cosmeticvegetable oilsAplicação dos resíduos industriais do processamento de polpa de frutas na formulação de cosmético esfoliantebachelorThesisEngenharias.
