Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Comunicação Social - Jornalismo), Departamento de Comunicação Social, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/53401YouTube is the most watched video platform in Brazil and it has been used as a tool for companies and journalists to increase their public reach in communication, especially in sports journalism. This research aims to analyze how YouTube is used by radio and web radio stations in Rio Grande do Norte in sports broadcasts, contributing to the growth of companies' investments in visual quality in their content for the video platform. The established hypotheses concern the increase in the audience dispute between broadcasters, caused by the expansion of the reach provided by the platform. In addition, other consequences such as the greater amount of material viralized by the radios and also the growth in the number of women in sports teams. The methodology includes bibliographical research, case study and analysis of the main companies that broadcast sports in the state. As a data collection technique, interviews were conducted with members of Universidade do Esporte, Universitária FM, Central Esportiva, 98 FM Natal and 96 FM Natal, the creator of the Instagram profile Audiência do Futebol RN and the women involved in sports journalism in Rio Grande do Norte . To contribute to the theoretical foundation, we articulate authors such as Raquel Recuero (2009), Ariane Pereira and Caroline Albertini (2018), Vivian Belochio (2013) and João Canavilhas (2014).CC0 1.0 Universalhttp://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/YouTubeRadioRádioSports broadcastsTransmissõesInternetInternetSports journalismJornalismo esportivoJornalismo esportivo potiguar no Youtube: uma nova forma de comunicaçãoPotiguar sports journalism on Youtube: a new form of communicationbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS
