In this way, this paper shows a comparison of prices between the green roof and the colonial roof, in order to perceive the direct costs involved in the application of these coverages and to evaluate the financial viability of the green roofs. For this, a reference house was modeled and two configurations of green roofs and a colonial roof were applied. Based on the quantity of material used and its market price, a budget was obtained for each cover. As a result, the green coverage became cheaper. The main reason is due to the arrangement of the roofs, in which the green roofs were arranged with a slope of 2% in a system that made it possible to dispense eaves, while the colonial tiles were laid with a slope of 30% and eaves, resulting in a much higher area.
