It to identify the main elements of dance that can be integrated into competitive rhythmic gymnastics routines to improve the technical execution of movements and the artistic expression of athletes, in addition to reflecting how the interdisciplinary approach in teaching Dance for rhythmic gymnastics can contribute for the holistic development of practitioners, considering both technical and expressive and aesthetic aspects.The importance of the interdisciplinary approach is highlighted, recognizing dance as an essential component in the body expression and performance of gymnasts. Based on descriptive-exploratory research, which included questionnaires with choreographers and gymnasts, the influence of dance on the creation of choreographies and on the athletes' body expression is examined. The analysis highlights the need to integrate dance elements, including ballet and contemporary dance, in rhythmic gymnastics training, aiming to improve gymnasts' technique and expressiveness.
