Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/52907This work deals with the relationship between the Afro-Brazilian female body and dance, working on the association between the samba dance performed by passistas and the hypersexualization of the black female body, which is strongly marked in the imagination of Brazilian society. The research aims to reflect on the teaching-learning process of samba by passistas-show, as well as to make a brief historical survey about samba, reflecting how the female body of the passista is seen in this dance from the speech of the interviewees. The methodology used starts from the descriptive qualitative research under the bias of the case study.
