When telling a story the teller should entice in the child the pleasure for reading, curiosity, orality and imagination. From the stories, children can discover attitudes and new perspectives in order to begin thinking critically over the reality. Furthermore, the taste for reading contributes to the formation of the personalithy of the child in its social and affective aspect. With this article, we intend to point out the importance of children's stories, particularly of fairy tales and show the ability that the teacher must acquire to be a good storyteller.
