It will be approached aspects of the foundation and historical trajectory in the USA / BRAZIL / NATAL - RN to the present day, relating the history of the author of this Work with Music, trying to reconstruct the history through interviews with 3 pastors who know the history of Foursquare Headquarters, its foundation and how Music was made in this period. It also seeks to understand the musical practices and the process of teaching and learning music at IEQ Headquarters. Comments will be given on the period the author arrived at the Foursquare Headquarters, regarding the implementation of the National and State Ministries of Music and Arts Foursquare Coordination (COMMEQ). He will also be lectured on the COMMEQ - RN School in a non - school context beyond the author's training as a teacher and his experience as a teacher. As methodology was used several reports of experience aiming to reassemble the scenario of IEQ's foundation to the present day. Some authors have served as a theoretical basis, such as Andrade (1962, 1993), Abrahão and Frison (2010, v. 1), Arroyo (2002), Almeida (2014a), Brasil ([19--?], 1998), Braga (1961), Del Ben (2003), Dubar (2005), Esperidião (2002), França (2010), Favaro (2007), Ghedin (2005), Gomes; Souza (2017), Gohn (2006), Glaser; Fonterrada (2007), Lispector ([20--?]), Josso (2010), Kraemer (2000), Oliveira (2003), Silva (2008), Pimenta (1997), Queiroz (2004, 2005, 2013) and Souza (2007). Through these, it is shown how it is possible to perceive the great challenges that teachers of Music spend, above all, in Schools of non-school context. In short, a licentiate in Music will hardly have the idea of how challenging it is to develop music teaching practices without first experiencing the classroom, because what teaching requires is far from what universities can teach and / or put into the classroom. curriculum, since everything is far beyond the knowledges of the musical area.
