TCC (Licenciatura em História) - Centro de Ciências Humanas, Letras e Artes, Departamento de História, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/57300The objective of this article is to analyze a pedagogical experience in teaching indigenous history, with students in the 2nd year of high school at the Escola Estadual em Tempo Integral Governador Walfredo Gurgel, Natal-RN, carried out during the supervised teaching activity of the discipline Stage IV, of semester 2023.2, of the History Degree course at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The Classroom-Workshop model methodology, developed by Isabel Barca, was used. The pedagogical experience had the general objective of reflecting, questioning and deconstructing the continuities that exist between the political and intellectual discourses about indigenous peoples in the 19th century, as well as, in the common sense of the 21st century, in order to highlight indigenous protagonism in the History of Brazil. The product resulting from the workshop class was a didactic newspaper about the actions of indigenous people in various areas today.
