Methods: It is a quasi-experimental study, blind and randomized. With 27 individuals in the chronic phase of stroke who were recruited of Clinical School of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Health Sciences Trairi (FACISA / UFRN). Participants were randomized into two intervention groups: MT group with motion motor patterns (PM, n = 13) and TE group with specific functional activities (AE, n = 14). The motor impairment assessments (Fugl-Meyer Scale - FM) and (Functional Independence Measure - FIM) were performed before and after treatment, and after 3 months of the end of the sessions (follow-up). In each intervention group patients were classified as mild, moderate or severe motor impairment according to FM. All participants received 15 sessions of TE, 3 times a week lasting 50 minutes. Results: In moderate and severe levels, there was statistical significance for the pre FM for follow-up for both PM (moderate and severe - p = 0.038) and for AE (moderate - p = 0.019; severe - p = 0.018). Both groups (AM and AE) showed significant improvements in overall FM scores at post-treatment and follow-up (p <0.05). However, only the EA group had functional improvements in the assessment of FIM. Conclusion: The MT was effective for engines and functional gains in post-stroke patients, and individuals with moderate to severe motor impairment were the most benefited from the technics.embargoedAccessAVE; Terapia de Espelho; Comprometimento motor; Padrões Motores; Atividades Específicas; Membro superior; Reabilitação.Stroke; Mirror therapy; Motor impairment; Engines standards; Specific activities; Upper limb; Rehabilitation.Terapia de espelho: benefícios da técnica em pacientes com diferentes níveis de comprometimento motor pós-acidente vascular encefálico (AVE)Mirror Therapy: technique benefits in different motor impairment in post-stroke subjectsbachelorThesis
