This study is part of an analysis that seeks to understand the territorial and productivity dynamics, established by the power relations, in the Settlement of Eldorado dos Carajás referring to man and land use, and investment credits by public spheres The study shows how the land, concentrates a high added value, a fundamental patrimony the generation of income, housing and food production. Besides that, talks about on the creation and attribution of institutionssuch as INCRA, the formation of rural settlements, the historical history of struggle and conquest for an acquisition of land by social groups (trade unions and associations) of the emergence and updating of the MST, which arises in defense of a more just society, for a land reform of a popular character, with guaranteed access to land for all who work in it. So, it is verified that the obtaining of the land is the result of a process of struggle, as well as, of the power relations, especially to the rural farmers who depend on it. And if today, there are potentially productive settlements is, because participatory actions of the community with the public power or other investors, have contributed in strengthening local development.
