Revisão taxonômica de Pseudachorutinae Börner, 1906 (Collembola, Neanuridae) no Brasil, com descrição de uma nova espécie de Aethiopella Handschin, 1942. 2019. 200 f. Monografia (Graduação em Ecologia) – Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/43295Pseudachorutinae is the second largest subfamily of Neanuridae, with approximately 496 described species, of which 50 occur in Brazil. They represent 16 genera, with Neotropiella, Pseudachorutes and Furculanurida holding the largest number of species in Brazil, respectively. This study aimed to review and compile taxonomic data on Pseudachorutinae from Brazil and to describe a new species of the subfamily. For the review, identification keys and comparative tables, a bibliographic survey of Pseudachorutinae genera and species descriptions was made. For the description of the new species collections were in Nísia Floresta municipality (Rio Grande do Norte - RN), during 2017–2018, using pitfall traps and entomological aspirators. The biological material was sorted, mounted on slides and identified. Aethiopella ricardoi sp. nov. presents as main diagnostic features trilobed apical bulb on antenna IV, plus 7 dorsal sensilla and absence of ms, post-antennal organ with 13–19 vesicles, a0 dorsal head chaeta absent, tibiotarsi I–III with 19, 19, 18 chaetae, respectively and 2+2 hr chaetae on paired anal valves. This is the third species of genus recorded from Brazil and the first for the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The record and description of this new species plus the review of the Brazilian Pseudachorutinae contribute to the knowledge of Neotropical, Brazilian and local fauna of this subfamily.
