In addition, its fast growth rate and physical-mechanical characteristics make it a plant of great interest for both environmental recovery and industrial uses. The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of the application of aqueous extract of Arthrospira platensis on the development of sabiá seedlings. The experiment was conducted using the seed soaking process for different periods of time. Four treatments were established, with four replicates and 10 plants per plot: treatment T0, in which the seeds were not soaked (control), and treatments T1, T2 and T3, in which the seeds were soaked in the seaweed extract for 6, 12 and 24 hours, respectively. The following seedling development parameters were evaluated: germination potential, plant height, stem diameter, fresh and dry mass, and number of leaves. The evaluations were carried out over a period of 47 days, with a single final evaluation at the end of this period. The experimental design was completely randomized. There was no significant effect of seed soaking on increased germination or initial seedling growth (height, stem diameter, and fresh and dry mass of the aerial part).
