Commiphora leptophloeos: uma revisão integrativa de seus usos tradicionais, fitoquímica e farmacologia. Orientadora: Silvana Maria Zucolotto Langassner. 2024. 40 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Biomedicina) – Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59856The Brazilian flora is vast and rich in plant species with medicinal properties recognized and used in traditional medicine. The caatinga, an exclusively Brazilian biome, represents around 70% of the Northeast and 10% of the national territory, but is still little studied. Among its plants, Commiphora leptophloeos stands out for its pharmacological potential. This integrative review aims to gather and analyze the information available about C. leptophloeos in the scientific literature, in different databases, offering a comprehensive and updated view of the species. Focusing on aspects of its traditional use, phytochemicals and pharmacological aspects, the review seeks to identify gaps in knowledge and serve as a basis for future research. 25 works were selected following the standard methodology process for literature reviews. The integrative analysis highlighted the characteristics of the publications, such as the concentration of studies directed to the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco, as well as demonstrating that the majority of studies are related to the phytochemical characterization of C. leptophloeos, in addition to highlighting that parts of the The most commonly used plants are the bark and leaves. The main extraction technique used by the authors is maceration and the majority of C. leptophloeos extracts are hydroethanolic extracts. Regarding the analysis of studies of its traditional uses, they are related to the treatment of inflammation and infections. Regarding the studies that deal with its phytochemical characterization, these demonstrate the highest concentrations of phenolic compounds, polyphenols and flavonoids. Furthermore, studies that address the pharmacology of C. leptophloeos show that the main mechanisms related to the plant are its antibacterial activity, mainly against Staphylococcus aureus, in addition to bringing us significant and satisfactory results regarding its antifungal, antioxidant and anti-bacterial potential. inflammatory. Despite finding few articles in the literature, the species C. leptophloeos showed promise. Studies are also needed to further evaluate its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal role. Furthermore, some antitumor compounds have been described suggesting studies in the area of investigational oncology using C. leptophloeos.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Commiphora leptophloeosImburanaEtnofarmacologiaRevisão de LiteraturaCommiphora leptophloeosImburanaEthnopharmacologyLiterature ReviewCommiphora leptophloeos: uma revisão integrativa de seus usos tradicionais, fitoquímica e farmacologiaCommiphora leptophloeos: an integrative review of its traditional uses, phytochemistry and pharmacologybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICASCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
