In addition, the effectiveness of the integration and retention policies adopted by the academic unit is analyzed. The research adopts a qualitative approach, based on the content analysis proposed by Bardin (2016), through semi-structured interviews conducted with faculty members currently in service and those who left the unit between 2014 and 2024. The results reveal that the absence of effective integration and appreciation policies, combined with weaknesses in the organizational environment, significantly contributes to faculty turnover. The investigation also highlights the importance of institutional actions that promote the well-being, engagement, and motivation of professors.
