A qualitative approach was adopted, involving a literature review, testing with ChatGPT, and questionnaires administered to librarians. The evaluation indicated that ChatGPT is perceived as a valuable resource for enhancing administrative tasks, fostering digital skills in classrooms, and supporting academic studies. However, challenges were identified, such as the need for technical and pedagogical training and concerns that passive use by students could hinder the development of critical thinking.The findings highlight the importance of organized and collaborative implementation among librarians, teachers, and school administrators. While ChatGPT is seen as a tool with great potential, its effective use requires training, ethical considerations, and an appropriate pedagogical approach.
