In this context, this study aims to verify how the practice with VT, in a hybrid approach, can impact the learners’ oral production. In order to answer this research question, L2 learners of English were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was exposed to activities using the VT and, through a pre- and post-test, we verified if this practice would influence the participants’ oral production. These results were compared to the pre- and post-test scores of the control group, which was not exposed to VT. Finally, learners’ impressions were also sought through a questionnaire. The results indicate that there is a positive impact of VT on the learners’ speech production over time.
