Avaliação de paisagem sonora em franja litorânea no bairro de Ponta Negra na cidade de Natal/RN. 2019. 105f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo) - Departamento de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/36894With the growth of large cities, the levels of the various categories of pollution also rise, and currently the second largest environmental problem faced is noise pollution. This issue has a considerable impact on the health of the world population, both on hearing and non-hearing health, varying with the time of exposure to noise and the intensity of sound pressure level found in environments. The universe of study in question refers to a coastal stretch of Ponta Negra neighborhood in the city of Natal / RN. This area is considered tourist, it is a Special Zone of Tourist Interest (ZET); has land-use diversity; It has in its context the strong relationship between the city and the sea; It also the largest neighborhood in terms of number of acoustic complaints in its South Administrative Region. This set of characteristics give the zone a noisy character, and from the dynamics of use and appropriations of urban space, the perception of users of the location and the sound map of the city of Natal, seek to understand the sound landscape of such a universe of study. Questioning how acoustics influence the use of urban space in order to corroborate proposals for acoustic design guidelines in urban planning, given the few attention received in city studies to sound aspects. Thus, according to the quantitative and qualitative aspects analyzed in the studied spatial cut, it is verified that the greater the urbanization and the variety of perceived sounds, the easier the sound point of a given place can be overlapped. Thus, it is understood that in this space there are two types of soundscapes, one that originates from the sound of the sea and another that is formed from traffic noise. However, as the tourist character of the universe of study is related to Ponta Negra Beach, most of the dynamics that happen in the place refer to the sea and this is reflected in the sound environment. Being, in this sense, the sound of the sea the main soundmark of the spacial cut, possibly also from the neighborhood and even from the city of Natal.
