O processo de ensino-aprendizagem na atenção primária à saúde: conexões entre a medicina de família e comunidade e o internato longitudinal. Orientadora: Dra. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Educação, Trabalho e Inovação em Medicina) - Escola Multicampi de Ciências Médicas do Rio Grande do Norte, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/63712In 2013, the Mais Médicos Program launched significant reforms involving the expansion of medical schools and measures aimed at strengthening the training of physicians sensitive to the demands of the Unified Health System (SUS). In line with medical education evidence and the concept of Social Accountability in medical schools, the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN) for medical courses were introduced in 2014, with a strong emphasis on teaching in Primary Health Care (APS). In this context, the Multicampi School of Medical Sciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (EMCM-UFRN) adopted a bold pedagogical approach to train socially committed physicians in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. Among the strategies implemented by the institution, “Vivência Integrada na Comunidade” (VIC) stands out as an extension component designed to promote immersive learning in the SUS from the early years of medical training. This initiative fosters community-based learning and strengthens Primary Health Care education. Recognizing the potential of Family and Community Medicine (MFC) in medical education oriented toward the SUS, this study aims to systematize MFC knowledge applicable to VIC. It is a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study that employs document analysis and participant observation as methodologies, also incorporating elements of autoethnography. The results were organized into three thematic axes: (i) “The ‘Morphology’ of a Curriculum Focused on APS,” highlighting the methodological strategies of the EMCM Curriculum Project for APS education and its alignment with the 2014 DCN; (ii) “Agency and Structure of the Syllabi in an Extensionist Curriculum Proposal,” analyzing the functioning, potentialities, and limitations of VIC; and (iii) “MFC as a Strategy for Medical Training in VIC,” exploring the potential of MFC as a knowledge area structured within the VIC curriculum. As a product of this study, an MFC Programmatic Content for VIC was developed, providing a methodological and theoretical framework to guide APS education. This material seeks to align medical training more closely with national guidelines, reinforcing the importance of APS and MFC in preparing professionals for the SUS. It is concluded that, although this project does not resolve all the challenges of VIC, it represents a significant strategy for strengthening APS education at EMCM and contributes to training generalist physicians who are more attuned to the health demands of the SUS.pt-BRAcesso AbertoEducação médicaMedicina de família e comunidadeSocial accountabilityAtenção primária à saúdeO processo de ensino-aprendizagem na atenção primária à saúde: conexões entre a medicina de família e comunidade e o internato longitudinalmasterThesisCIENCIAS DA SAUDE
