The objective of this study was to evaluate the occurrence of adverse events in elderly in primary health care, in a city in the northeast of Brazil. This is an epidemiological study, observational and transversal. The following data were obtained: socio-demográfricas variables, conditions of life and health and satisfaction of the elderly with health services. Data analysis consisted of descriptive statistics with measures of central tendency (mean), dispersion (standard deviation) and absolute and relative frequencies for sample characterization. 109 elderly were evaluated, with an average age of 71.5 ± 5.5 years. In relation to life habits, most reported no smoking, no use alcohols to be sedentary. Among the adverse events, the most frequent were: low physical performance, presence of Comorbidities, occurrence of a fall last year, polypharmacy and depressive symptomatology. Regarding satisfaction with health services, 13.8% revealed never/almost never have their problems solved and 10.1% no longer taking medicine for lack of money.
