The study was based on ecosystem services and the importance of green areas and urban trees for the population. The work was conducted through bibliographic research, mapping of green areas, application of qualitative questionnaires, and field visits. The applied methodology allowed for the observation and analysis of various cultural, leisure, accessibility, and environmental parameters in the selected spaces, highlighting significant disparities between the areas located in Vila de Ponta Negra and the more affluent regions of the neighborhood. The results show that the green areas in Vila de Ponta Negra are in a deficient state, with fewer trees and recreational and accessibility facilities, while spaces in the more affluent regions of the neighborhood present better structural conditions. Furthermore, the socioeconomic indicators analyzed, such as monthly income and literacy rates, underscore the inequality within the neighborhood.
