Monitoring is part of the Risk Management process and is responsible for underpinning the effectiveness of the entire cycle, because it results in the execution of activities that mitigate, transfer, eliminate or accept risks. As of 2016, this theme has been introjected within the scope of Public Management as an instrument of Governance, however, its structure is dense, of long application, involving multiple actors with different needs and requirements. These aspects confer a certain complexity that can be diluted by the use of agile methods, which, in turn, offers a set of principles and values that can increase the chances of success. Monitoring and agile methods are coalesced at an intersection because they both have to make deliveries that provide value to their stakeholders. Thus, the present work aims to propose an agile monitoring model in risk management for the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (IFE) which, although it has advanced in the initial stages of its Risk Management, needs adjustments in the monitoring process. This is a necessity brought about by regulatory frameworks and the need to incorporate risk management as an added value in the university management process. The study is descriptive, of a qualitative nature, and with regard to procedures, it adopted action research. As for data collection instruments, participant observation and semi-structured interviews are used, systematizing the evidence collected through content analysis and data categorization. The investigation mapped out the difficulties that prevented the risk mitigation actions and the results reveal barriers in three dimensions: lack of planning, lack of appropriate method and, third, in the involvement of the actors with the subject, still in the phase of incorporation in the culture institutional. The difficulties were partially solved by proposing a monitoring framework based on agile project methods. This model added to the Risk Management framework developed at UFRN and can serve as a methodological path to deal with risks in the researched IFE and other institutions of the same nature.Acesso AbertoGestão de riscosMonitoramentoGestão ágilProposta de modelo de monitoramento ágil no gerenciamento de riscos corporativosmasterThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS
