In the drawings, the children leave their marks on the world, as well as reframing their eyes on him. “THE DESIGN IN CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: beyond scribbles” aims to analyze the drawings from the weekend record as a symbolic representation produced by the children. Drawings from a methodological stage of the research, fruits of children between 4 (four) and 5 (five) years of age enrolled at level V “B”. This class is composed of 25 children, 14 (fourteen) boys and 11 (eleven) girls and are part of the Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education in the city of Parnamirim / RN. The research is theoretically anchored in Historical-Cultural Psychology, highlighting Lev Semionovich Vigotski's contributions on the process of the development of symbolism in children's drawing, on the emergence of the symbolic dimension, of internalization, of signs. Being guided by a documentary typology, where the drawings were analyzed and developed by a basic nature and by a qualitative approach. The collected data made it possible to analyze the drawings under two axes of analysis. The first axis corresponds to drawing as signs and seeks to observe drawings and writing, the importance of mediation and imitation. In the second axis, the drawings were analyzed as cultural marks, in which the children's experiences are related to the context in which they have contact and are represented in the drawing. Thinking about the importance of drawings in the development of learning and child development it is essential that teachers have drawing as a form of permanent activity, which will enable children to develop the skills of drawing, expressing experiences and organizing and expressing their symbolic thinking. Thus, Drawing is advocated in addition to doodles because they are a mark of culture, they are a symbolic expression of children. Drawing is important for the child's development as a creative source, as a representation of what the child knows. Drawing is not just a scribble, it is expression, creation, and recreation.Desenho.Cultura.Criança.Infância.O desenho na Educação Infantil: para além de rabiscosDesign in childhood education: beyond drawingsbachelorThesis
