It was an Action Research study, which included three phases: planning, development and assessment of actions. The planning and development stages followed the pedagogy project’s method. Related to the students, the assessments were made on the basis of scale adapted for educational purposes, and related to the teachers an instrument with closed questions was drawn up. Nine interventions were performed. The project evaluated 114 children and seven teachers. Among the children, 95% considered the interventions to be satisfactory. In the opinion of the teachers, the quality of the interventions and their contribution to the PAHF obtained 100% positive evaluations. Storytelling work has proven to be an effective tool in developing FNE actions. The multiplication of storytelling studies as a PAHF strategy can help strengthen the FNE in Early Childhood Educationpt-BRAttribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Promoção da SaúdeEducação Alimentar e NutricionalEducação Pré-EscolarHealth promotionFood and Nutrition EducationPreschool EducationA contação de histórias como ferramenta para ações de Educação Alimentar e Nutricional no âmbito da Educação InfantilStoryteling as a tool for food and nutrition education actions in preschool educationarticle
