ARTE COMUNIDADE: AFETOS E AFETAÇÕES DE UM PROFESSOR ARTISTA-MORADOR DE FELIPE CAMARÃO. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso , 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61745This final paper is based on the premise that art pulsates within communities and that a closer look at them is necessary to highlight them for everyone. Here we follow the trajectory of a teacher-artist and resident of Felipe Camarão, a neighborhood in the west side of Natal-RN that is constantly associated with crime, but which was the stage for his affections and affectations and those of many others who share the same reality. In dialogue with Paulo Freire's pedagogy of the oppressed (1970) and Augusto Boal's theater of the oppressed (2019), the text of the final paper contextualizes a process of emancipation of an independent artistic collective resident in Felipe Camarão — Coletivo A Gente —, through the account of a process of theatrical creation (assembly and staging of the show Auto da Compadecida, by Ariano Suassuna) developed in the curricular component of Integrated Performing Arts of the undergraduate degree in Theater at UFRN. Understanding the work with this show as one of the fruits of this community and collective construction, this final paper also seeks to situate other projects developed by Coletivo A Gente, highlighting the strengths of these residents and of the territory itself, from the perspective of community theater, with which it is possible to discuss and reflect on various problems experienced and ignored within the outskirts of cities.
