Efeito da fotobiomodulação isolada e associada a infusão de camomila na radiodermite de pacientes com câncer de mama: um estudo de protocolo. 2022. 33f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia), Departamento de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/46089It is estimated that 2.1 million cases of breast cancer were new in 2018 across all countries. One of the frequently used therapeutic interventions is radiotherapy due to the target cells as their ability to utilize DNA due to its ability to damage the DNA of target cells, however the high rate of cell multiplication makes them vulnerable and susceptible to skin changes such as radiodermatitis (RD). The literature presents Photobiomodulation (PBMT) as a possibility of treating RD as well as applications of natural extracts, there is a lack of protocols that demonstrate how, however there is a lack of protocols that demonstrate the effectiveness. This study is a randomized, controlled clinical trial protocol study. 36 participants will be recruited and will be identified equally in three groups each, being a chamomile infusion group (GCAM), another photobiomodulation group (GFOTOBIO) and another group of chamomile infusion with photobiomodulation (GFOTOCAM). All volunteers will be evaluated before the beginning of the interventions, in the 14th and 28th session and 30 days after the end of therapy, using an evaluation form, a pain questionnaire (NRS), quality of life (WHOQOL-breef) and skin appearance (RTOG). It is expected that the results show a significant improvement in the primary and secondary outcome responses of the group associating FBM with chamomile infusion due to the modulatory effect on local inflammation and the increase in energy bioavailability promoted by FBM, added to the anti-inflammatory effect of the infusion of chamomile extract.
