In the face of COVID-19 pandemic, the health primary care (APS) work was necessary to face that sanitary crisis. The Health Community Agents (ACS) and students residents´ of The Multiprofessional Residence's Program in Primary Care from Medical Science Multicampi School's (EMCM) from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in the city of Currais Novos, Rio Grande do Norte state (RN), worked in partnership in APS in the pandemic context. The work processes had to be reorganized having the reformulation of actions and activities in APS according to the new context. This study aims to describe the nutritionist resident experience's who acted with ACS, highlighting their contributions in this scenario; the potentialities and limitations verified in the work processes; interpersonal relations and author´s professional qualification. It is an experience report based on informal conversations, annotations, memories evocation, and reflections of daily work routine between the nutritionist resident and ACS´s from two basic health units (UBS), in the city of Currais Novos-RN, in the year of 2020. In the development of this report, it is described the reorganization of UBS´s in which the nutritionist worked in the first residence year (R1), as personal's flow changing and realization of telephone calls. Regarding the challenges faced by the ACS, it was perceived the scarcity or lack of supplying of individual protection equipment (EPI), lack of fuel and transportation to the home care visits, lack of professional qualification, work absenteeism and human resources turnover which leading to increased workload generating physical and psychological illness, also potentiated by the pandemic. In relation to the potentialities identified, the technologies´ incorporation to optimize time work and some ACS leadership in the important decision-making process between the team. Regarding interpersonal relation between residents and ACS, some of them were weak or compromised due to lack of experience and time to realization of matrix support and case discussions. The lack of realization of permanent education for the ACS by the city administration was a fact which led the residents to idealize and to execute the Health Community Agents Capacitation (CACS) with subjects chose by themselves, aiming to improve relationship and to build an interprofessional way of knowledge. In despite of the difficulties, the ACS/Student resident relationship added in significantly way in the nutritionist´ professional qualification. The exposed information allow an expanded comprehension of the lived reality by the ACS in the pandemic scenario and the fragility of interprofessional work, being necessary to have an increasing valorization of this professional category through strategies from municipal, state and federal management in the way to offer proper work conditions, care effectivity and SUS consolidation.
