Audição e linguagem em crianças com deficiência auditiva: análise de correlação com variáveis preditoras de desempenho. 2019. 39 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fonoaudiologia) - Departamento de Fonoaudiologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/35990Introduction: Numerous studies have sought to characterize predictors of hearing and language development in hard of hearing children, aiming at improving clinical management. In Brazil there is still little research on the subject. Objective: To profile users of an Educational Audiology service at a Specialized Center for Rehabilitation of the Unified Health System and to correlate some of the predictive factors with their hearing and language performance. Method: Documentary, descriptive study, with quantitative analysis, in which 61 medical records of children were analyzed, from which we extracted audiological, sociodemographic and hearing habilitation data. For data analysis, children were stratified into 05 groups by age group. Descriptive statistical analysis of children's characteristics and inductive analysis by Pearson's correlation with hearing and language performances were performed. Results: It was observed that the caregivers of the children were young, mostly with complete high school, income below the national per capita average and median participation by the Family Involvement Scale. Children's hearing and language performance correlated only with the predictive factors of child and guardian age, hearing age, time of sensory deprivation, degree of hearing loss and time in (re) habilitation. Conclusion: Children with longer rehabilitation showed the best results in the hearing and language categories. The continuity of studies of this nature with multicenter analyzes is recommended for the better management of speech therapy intervention in hearing services in our country.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Perda AuditivaHearing LossLinguagem InfantilChild LanguageResultados de ReabilitaçãoRehabilitation OutcomeAudição e linguagem em crianças com deficiência auditiva: análise de correlação com variáveis preditoras de desempenhoHearing and Language in Hard of Hearing Children: Correlation Analysis with Performance PredictorsbachelorThesis
