In the same perspective, it has the specific objective of work to develop teaching methodologies that facilitate the literacy process of children, in an attractive and playful way, it was organized from shared reading, which according to Flores (2020), it is the moment when the adult reads and the child sees the adult read, the book is the focus of the converging attention of the child and the adult, sitting and snuggled together; stimulating reading comprehension through dialogues and questioning after reading or telling the stories and working on phonemic awareness through onomatopoeia (PULIEZI, 2021) and short stories. The explanation of literary books was carried out on a daily basis, with a different book per week, for 10 (ten) weeks, in the early childhood education classroom, in a Level IV class, containing 12 students enrolled in a private school, located in the city of Caicó-RN. With this, there was the purpose of verifying the progress that occurred in the development level in the literacy process of the children in the class after the application of the shared reading methodology through the use of tests of the IDEIA protocol (NASCHOLD, 2020) and different survey activities and teaching.
