This technology is widely used in industrial and commercial sectors, being essential both for thermal comfort and for food preservation. This study aims to analyze the influence of parameters related to intercooler efficiency (85% and 80%) and the methodology for calculating the intermediate pressure in a multistage vapor compression system with a closed intercooler. The refrigerant used in the simulations is R152a. Using the CoolPack software, different operating conditions and their impacts on the system’s coefficient of performance (COP) were evaluated.
