Mulheres, militância política e ditadura civil-militar (1964 1985): como se conta a história de Iara Iavelberg?. Orientadora: Dra. Cândida Maria Bezerra Dantas. 2025. 108f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Psicologia) - Centro de Ciências Humanas, Letras e Artes, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64081The research aims to recover memories of a Brazilian historical period through the experiences of women, analyzing, from an intersectional feminist perspective, the meanings of the militancy of guerrilla fighter Iara Iavelberg; the differences in the discourses produced about Iara by different authors and historical moments; and the process of constituting a militant identity through Iara's life trajectory. The research is qualitative, bibliographic, and documentary, adopting the articulation of a post-structuralist and social constructionist perspective. The concept of discursive practices was used to analyze public documents from 1964 to 2024. The sources include the Digital National Library, the National Archive Information System, Brasil: Nunca Mais, and the São Paulo State Truth Commission. In the document analyses, it was possible to discuss the discursive disputes between testimonies and productions by family members and companions about and for Iara, permeated by affection and political admiration, in contrast with the conservative and hegemonic discourse of the dictatorial state. The institutional dispute over the construction of Iara's memory as someone who promotes social emancipation only becomes possible after the redemocratization and gains strength with the National Truth Commission. In addition to the discourse of hatred for transgressing the dictatorial period and the gender performance expected by the patriarchy, the analyses of the construction of a militant identity in Iara discussed the confrontations within leftist movements that intersected with her political practices and the image reinforced in some documents as a "muse of the left." The erasure of women's political actions and resistances should not stop us from producing power also in resistances, articulating relationships that promote life and social emancipation. The production of discourses preserving and celebrating Iara's memory is a way to keep alive the power of resistance she inspired.pt-BRAcesso AbertoGêneroDitadura Civil-MilitarAnálise do discurso digitalMulheres, militância política e ditadura civil-militar (1964 1985): como se conta a história de Iara Iavelberg?masterThesisCIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIA
