In this context, this study aimed to develop a linear model establishing a relationship between the Rationing Severity Index (RSI) in reservoir water supply, when subjected to optimized operation rules, and their hydromorphological characteristics. The methodology involved optimizing the reservoirs' operation rules, calculating variables to survey hydromorphological characteristics, and determining the linear model using multiple linear regression to relate RSI to hydromorphological variables. The study was conducted using the statistical software R, and the analyses revealed promising results considering the intrinsic complexity of the studied system. The obtained coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.8339, indicating a strong correlation between the variables considered in the model. This result adds robustness to the proposed model, suggesting that the hydromorphological characteristics of reservoirs have a significant impact on the water rationing severity index.
