I sought to understand the conception of education of the indigenous people, to analyze the relationship of their educational processes with the territory and to understand how the policy of the Brazilian State impacts on its materialization. As methodological tools, I used bibliographical research and, in particular, the knowledge and experience that indigenous people shared with me, based on the experience in the Katu village and through semi-structured interviews. Educational processes permeate various dimensions of indigenous life, related to their own way of life, and are transmitted between generations through family relationships and community life, independently of the school itself. Likewise, there are educational processes revived by the Potiguara Katu people since their ethnic strengthening, dating back to the beginning of the 21st century. Therefore, I discussed the relationship of these educational processes with the right to Indigenous Territory and to a specific and differentiated education in their schools.pt-BRAcesso AbertoIndígenas Potiguara KatuProcessos educativosTerritórioEstadoRio Grande do NorteProcessos educativos do Povo Potiguara Katu: relação com o território e com as políticas do EstadodoctoralThesisCIENCIAS HUMANAS::ANTROPOLOGIA
