Thermocouples and pressure gauges were installed at strategic points in the refrigeration circuit, which allowed, with the aid of the Coolpack software, to estimate the coefficient of performance (COP) of the refrigerator operating with R22 for different condensing conditions. To change the condensing pressure, Styrofoam plates were inserted in the condenser, reducing the free frontal area available for heat exchange (100%, 80%, 60%, 40% and 20%) between the condensing agent and the refrigerant fluid R22 inside the copper coil of the condenser, simulating the lack of maintenance.
