Methodology: This is a cross-sectional, analytical study, developed from the analysis of anthropometric data of the birth, reassessed without evaluation, and application of Adaptive Behavior, by the Bayley III Scale to assess child development. Sampling was composed of 8 children with confirmed diagnosis of microcephalus by Zika Virus of the 5th health region of Rio Grande do Norte, where 6 are female and 2 male. Results: It was observed that all children in the test were sent for delay in the development of Adaptive Behavior, due to being below the expected average for the age. According to a comparative analysis of the sample data with the Child Health Card (P50), as children of both sexes also have the best variables of weight, height and cephalic perimeter below the expected average. Final considerations: Considering the association observed in the present study, it is observed the need for a greater capacity of health professionals who act on the various delays that children with this diagnosis can develop, in order to obtain better results.
