It has as main objective to evaluate the importance of literature in early childhood education to the forming readers, and it brings as specific objectives, cause the habit and love to the reading through the fairy tales, know to identify the world of make-believe some possible solutions to conflicts the real world, recognize the importance of learning playing. The necessity to work this theme emerged from the search for pedagogic formation to be sifficient to mediate the desire of our students enter the world of endless information that literary reading offers. Thus, we seek the support of confirmed research methodologies and defended by science, guided by authors such as Nicola (1998), Bettelheim (2002), Câmara (2012), Machado (2002), among others who advocate the importance of reading literary in early childhood education and its social role in civic education. The choice of the bibliographic search method came to believe that such knowledge acquisition offers us a range of information contained in numerous sources. Conduct this research was a rewarding experience because the study of children's literature, the following is by way of the creative freedom of emotions and feelings that arise through the stories read, heard and counted. With this study, we were sure that, while producing the subject science to lead us incantations that literary reading provides classroom, confirmed this certainty by various authors studies, expanding our knowledge of the importance of reader training literary classroom. Also we have the view that, as teachers / facilitators we should read daily in our work with children, introduce actively reading.
