The school theme is justified by the need to better understand the relevance of this service in the institution. In this sense, the research aims to investigate the importance of hospital class implementation in the pediatric ward of HUOL, guaranteed the right of the continuity of children and adolescents continue to study when they are unable to attend regular school. The methodology used was the Educational Research Qualitative Approach that "involves obtaining tend descriptive data obtained in direct contact of the researcher with the situation studied, emphasizes more the process than the product and is concerned to portray the perspective of the participants" (LUDKE; ANDRÉ 1986, p.13). As procedures for data collection, use: analysis of official documents and authors who discuss the subject, semi-structured interviews with pedagogues who work in hospital class institution and participant observation in order to meet the proposed objective. The results obtained with this study confirm the importance of hospital class implementation in the pediatric ward of HUOL.
