The proposal for this inquiry stems from its social relevance, drawing upon theoretical insights from Paulo Freire, Bell hooks, and Flávia Caimi. To understand how inequality indices affect the poorest population in terms of access to university, how preparatory courses work and the primary challenges encountered, study cases where chosen, focusing on popular preparatory initiatives affiliated with the Emancipa and Dona Militana networks, situated within the municipality of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte.
